It is a major constituent of the plant " Ammi visnaga ", also known as Bishop's Weed.
It was first isolated from bishop's weed ( " Ammi visnaga " ), a plant indigenous to the Mediterranean region which has been used for centuries in Egypt as a spasmolytic.
My friend does successive plantings but plans to switch to a sibling, Ammi visnaga ( a k a green mist ), with tufts of ferny foliage and a longer blooming stint of oversize dill-like umbels.
